Charlie’s Baby Shower

I was delighted when Whitney asked me to help do the Baby Shower for Charlie! I did the Sweets and Kim did the Savoury.

This was my first venture into Fondant Cake Decorating. I made the Baby Elephant Topper from Gum Paste, and was thrilled with it. Whit asked for two tiers of double layered cakes. Wow a challenge alright! Unfortunately, I had no idea the top tier needed to be placed on a board and be supported, so ot was lop-sided by the time the party started lol!

The Nappy Cake I made as an Elephant too. He was surrounded by little Nappy elephants.20180122_160842-COLLAGE

I added lots of little drawn/cutout elephants to decorate the table and food.

I made a Guest Book for all to write in as a Keepsake.

I made Shortbread coated with Chocolate, Elephant Biscuits and Chocolate Elephants

I crocheted a few items too – a ripple blanket with an elephant, an amigurumi baby elephant and booties

All in all it was a lovely day, with family and friends and lots of laughter, happiness and wow! the gifts were amazing!

Baby Stacy makes

I have been blissfully busy for a year
with projects to make for our new Granddaughter.

Stacy Jean is an adorably sweet angel.
The Paediatrician says she is a “Tiny”.
I am enjoying her immensely.
She is a calm, sweet baby,
and has had no problems with winds or anything.
Her smiles melt my heart,
and she is learning to laugh – very funny!

A Chariot for the Princess

The pram and car seat for our little girl
was BLUE, and slightly worn
Not fair, and not fit for a princess!
So I revamped it
with a new car seat cover
recovered the blue
in a lovely cream and brown tartan

I added a removable seat cover
with soft padding
and belt pads too
for extra comfort
and so it is easy to wash
a head rest and mobile are coming next!

Owl Baskets

The Nursery Theme is Owls
Wise
Intelligent
Beautiful
Perfect for a little princess to aspire to

These Owl Baskets will hold all the little things
on the Changing Table
to keep it neat and tidy
while everything is right to hand

I did change up the large basket a little from the linked pattern, but didn’t make notes.
The other two baskets, I just started with a circle to the size I wanted
and then made the sides as high as required.
